Privacy Policy
VeylCut is designed to help you permanently redact sensitive information from images by processing them locally on your device. In this version, images you choose are not uploaded to VeylCut servers.
Core image processing is designed to work locally on your device and does not require an internet connection. This launch version is ad-supported, and Google Mobile Ads may require internet access when ads are shown.
Your device operating system, app store, advertising provider, payment provider, or other third-party services may process data under their own privacy policies when those services are used.
Images and supported formats
PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WebP images are processed directly on your device.
HEIC and HEIF images are converted locally on your device using iOS or Android built-in image decoding, then exported as a flattened PNG.
The exported PNG is designed to omit metadata from the original image. However, you should always review the exported file and verify that it contains only the information you intend to share.
Local Image Processing
Images selected in VeylCut are processed locally on the user’s device. VeylCut does not upload the user’s original images, selected image areas, masks, or exported images to our servers.
The image-removal process, pixel replacement, flattening, metadata removal, and export are performed on the device.
Information VeylCut does not collect
In this version, VeylCut does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not upload your selected images to VeylCut servers.
The app only accesses an image after you explicitly select it from your device.
You can clear local temporary files, cache, and local web storage from Settings. This does not delete images you have already saved to Photos or Gallery.
Advertising and third-party services
VeylCut is configured to use Google Mobile Ads. During development, pre-release testing, or where a production ad unit has not yet been configured, Google test ads and test identifiers may be used. Production AdMob identifiers may be used in release builds.
When ads are enabled, Google and its advertising partners may process advertising-related information, including device identifiers and usage information, according to their own privacy policies.
If you grant the required consent or tracking permission, advertisements may be personalized. If consent is not granted, advertisements may be limited, non-personalized, or unavailable depending on applicable law and Google Mobile Ads behavior.
Where available, you can manage Google's advertising privacy options from the Privacy section within the app.
VeylCut does not send your selected images to Google through the advertising integration.
Open-source software used in VeylCut is listed under Settings → Licenses, available offline in the app.
Your responsibility
VeylCut is designed to significantly reduce the risk of unintentionally sharing sensitive information. However, no software can guarantee that every piece of sensitive information has been removed or that every possible disclosure risk has been eliminated.
You are responsible for identifying every area that contains sensitive information and for reviewing the exported image before publishing, sending, or storing it.
Future updates
Future versions of VeylCut may introduce optional features such as cloud services, synchronization, analytics, or user accounts. If those features are added, this Privacy Policy will be updated before they become available.
