VeylCut is an image redaction tool designed to permanently replace pixels within selected areas, apply a visible mask, and export a flattened PNG image.
PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WebP files are processed locally on your device.
HEIC and HEIF files are converted locally on your device using iOS or Android built-in image decoding before editing.
This launch version is free to use and supported by advertising. Future versions may add paid features, subscriptions, or other monetization options.
VeylCut is intended as one layer of a broader privacy and security workflow and should not be relied upon as the sole safeguard for highly sensitive, regulated, legally privileged, classified, medical, financial, or safety-critical information.
VeylCut processes images locally on the user’s device. When a user applies a removal and exports the result, the selected pixels are replaced in the exported image, and the result is created as a flattened PNG without hidden edit layers.
VeylCut does not automatically delete, overwrite, or modify the original image stored in the user’s photo library. The original image remains available unless the user chooses to delete it separately.
Users should review the exported image before sharing or distributing it and should securely delete the original image if it still contains information they do not wish to retain or share.
VeylCut is provided as a tool for removing selected visual information from exported images. Users are responsible for selecting the correct areas, reviewing the final result, and deciding how the original and exported files are stored, shared, or deleted.
VeylCut is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VeylCut makes no warranties or guarantees, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free performance.
VeylCut is designed to reduce privacy risks, but it cannot guarantee that every piece of sensitive information has been removed or that every possible disclosure risk has been eliminated.
The app does not replace careful human review, legal advice, compliance review, security assessment, or professional handling of confidential information.
You are solely responsible for the images you choose, the areas you decide to redact, the exported files you create, and how those files are stored, shared, or published.
Before sharing an exported image, you must verify that all sensitive information has been properly removed and that no visible, contextual, metadata-related, or workflow-related information remains that you intended to remove.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeylCut, its owners, developers, licensors, affiliates, and distributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, privacy incidents, disclosure of confidential information, regulatory penalties, legal claims, business interruption, or any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, portions of this section may not apply.
VeylCut is configured to use Google Mobile Ads. During development, pre-release testing, or where a production ad unit has not yet been configured, Google test ads and test identifiers may be used. Production AdMob identifiers may be used in release builds.
When ads are enabled, Google and its advertising partners operate under their own terms, privacy policies, consent requirements, and data processing practices.
If the required consent or tracking permission is granted, advertisements may be personalized. Otherwise, advertisements may be limited, non-personalized, or unavailable.
Where available, the app provides access to Google's advertising privacy controls.
VeylCut does not send your selected images to Google through the advertising integration.
Open-source software notices are available offline under Settings → Licenses.
